Eliza Annie Ormerod

Notes made by Malcolm Ormerod:
"Annie Eliza Ormerod, b. abt 1888 at 2 St Mary's Street, Nelson.
She married Peter Stanworth in 1914, a teacher in a Burnley school,living in Burnley. He was killed in the 1914-1918 War.
After the War Annie lived with her mother, Ann Ormerod, and hersister, Clara. She had a baby daughter, Margaret.
She later went to live in Blackpool, until her death in 1963.
Her daughter Margaret Stanworth married and had a family in the LythamSt Annes area.

"Ann Ormerod - born 1851
She appears in the 1871 Census living with William & Martha Dent as aboarder with her daughter Eliza, only 3 months old.
She appears in the 1881 Census married to John Edmondson, with herchild, Eliza Ormerod, aged 10, living at Holt Hill.
In the 1891 Census she has 4 other children plus Eliza, aged 20,living at 68 Halifax Road, Briercliffe, with her second son, named
Willie O Edmondson, aged 7.
In the 1901 Census, he appears as Willie Ormerod Edmondson.
Ann married John Edmondson in 1881.

Henry Lawrence Ormerod

Living at Westbury Hill, Westbury On Trym, Gloucestershire, at thetime of the 1881 Census.

Educated at Bristol Grammar School. He passed, like his father andgrandfather, through the Bristol Medical School and the RoyalInfirmary, where he gained first a scholarship and afterwards both theSuple gold medals - that for Surgery in 1888, and that for Medicine in1889.
In this latter year he qualified as M.R.C.S. Eng. and L.R.C.P. London.
In 1893 he took his M.B. at Dublin, proceeding to the Doctor's degreein 1895.
Having held resident posts in the Bristol Infirmary, he joined hisfather, as junior partner at Westbury on Trym, where on HenryOrmerod's death, he succeeded to the practice.

Initially recorded as Marion Grace, rather than Marion Grace Alford.

Living at 12 Berkely Square, Bristol St Augustine, Gloucestershire, atthe time of the 1881 Census.
