Underhill Farm Cemetery

Underhill Farm Cemetery is situated in the locality of Comines-Warneton, Hainaut.

Underhill Farm and Red Lodge were the names given to two buildings on the north-western edge of Ploegsteert Wood, 12 kilometres south of Ypres. They were occupied by dressing stations and the cemetery that they used is close to the farm.

Amongst those buried in the cemetery (Grave Ref. D. 54.) is William Hirst - noted in the Commonwealth War Graves Commission Debt of Honour Register as the "son of James and Mary Ann Hirst, of Oxford Rd., Burnley; husband of Ada Hirst, of 10, Springfield Rd., Burnley."
