Nowshera Military Cemetery

Nowshera is situated in the North West Frontier Province of Pakistan, about 50 kilometres east of Peshawar.

The Cemetery contains the grave of Fred Ormerod (Grave Ref. F. 3.), who died in 1919, whilst serving with the 1st (King's) Dragoon Guards, and is commemorated on the Delhi Memorial (India Gate).

Nowshera Military Cemetery is one of those cemeteries to the west of the River Indus, where maintenance by the Commonwealth War Graves Commission was not possible. It is therefore not known whether Fred Ormerod's grave is still marked in the Cemetery, or in what state of repair the grave may be.
