St James' Cemetery, Dover

 

St James' Cemetery is situated on Old Charlton Road in Dover.

The Cemetery contains the grave of Gunner Vincent Ormerod, who served with the Royal Marine Artillery.

Vincent was one of the Zeebrugge Raiders, who was killed on the day of the raid - St George's Day 1918 - and he is buried with other casualties from the raid in a part of the Cemetery known as Zeebrugge Corner.
