Frank died on 5 January 1917, and is buried in Blackburn Cemetery (Grave Ref. A. C.E. 347).
He was the son of William and Elizabeth Ormerod, of 116 Lincoln St, Blackburn.

The Soldiers Died in the Great War Database records that Frank died on the Home Front, whilst serving with the Depot (3rd) Battalion of the East Lancashire Regiment. The Database also notes that Frank was both born and enlisted in the Army in Blackburn.
According to The Accrington Pals website (The Accrington Pals, The Officers and Men, N-R) Frank was wounded between 1 - 5 July 1916.
The Army Register of Soldiers' Effects records that he died in Manchester General Hospital on 5 January 1917.
Frank is commemorated on the St Michael & All Angels War Memorial, Blackburn.
