Harold died on 22 February 1919, aged 19, and is buried in Etaples Military Cemetery (Grave Ref. LXXII. C. 24).

The Commonwealth War Graves Debt of Honour Register notes that he was the son of Hugh and Sarah Elizabeth Ormrod, of Bradshaw, Lancashire.
