The Commonwealth War Graves Commission Debt of Honour Register records that Jack Ormrod was the "son of William and Emily Ormrod, of Manchester, and the husband of Barbara Ormrod, of Blackley, Manchester."

Jack Ormrod died, aged 26, on 24 April 1944, during the Italian Campaign. He is buried in Caserta War Cemetery, Italy (Grave Ref. VII, B, 11).
